Splicing constructs a composite view through many points of intersection. Your perception of meaning in the resulting view depends on the lens you use to look across the sum of those intersections.

Try the following as you look at these spliced images: what do they mean together when you  have the concept of spectacle in mind? How does that meaning change when the concept is mobility? Or female striving?

By performing critical looking as an iterative process, you are enacting how the perception of a new activity like competitive female hockey is constructed through a variety of intersections with already established visual and social practices, like the waltz.
